The Next Most Famous Artist was born as a reaction to the growing social media climate where virality and popularity have become the language of now. As a Digital Art Director for a renowned advertising agency, he utilises his skills in photo-manipulation and motion design for his practice as a contemporary artist. He is most notably known for his digital creations that depicts classical art muses in modern-day Singapore.
The Next Most Famous Artist has had his works featured in The Straits Times, Harper’s Bazaar, Tatler Singapore, Home & Decor Singapore and across various social media pages such as My Nice Home (under the Housing & Development Board), Time Out Singapore, GOFY, History of Art Daily, and Museo de Arte de Ponce. His works have also been commissioned by Visit Singapore to create a two-part series on social media which aimed to bring top-of-mind awareness of Singapore as a destination with a vibrant arts & culture.

This series explores the re-imagining of Western classical figures into modern-day Singapore by contrasting figures from the art historical canon of representational oil paintings with scenarios that are commonly experience in daily Singapore life embracing the uniqueness of the Singaporean culture. More than just creating visually arresting and relatable art, this series represents the democratisation of creativity where the original works that used to hang on the grand and sacred walls of the gallery spaces for the elite is now breathing and taking on new life in public spaces as well as social media for the masses.
